Good idea. A really good way to heat the garage is to run the engine up to temperature.

If you get your cold start corrections dialed in now, you won't have to F@#$ around with them later.

Still no car progress but I finish re-cleaning what the cleaners missed and painting over the mess with an oil base sealer.....60 gallons of oil base sealer all over me and everything else, what a suck job!

and the shop is no longer functional so the new shop needs to get moving!

I still need to paint the double door and a drain pipe for the 2nd floor washing machine broke Friday so I have a ceiling to repair and cyl 3 is mifiring on the bmw which really pisses me off because a couple weeks ago I had a cyl 4 mis fire and instead of changing 1 coil I decided I didn't want to deal with it again and replaced all 6 so now it appears one of the new coils has failed.

Then when all that is done it will be time to work on the ferrari.......

Oh its sealed now......I used an airless sprayer, 30 gallons took about 8 hours, but more of that time was the f'ing joists with the air ducts and wires and pipes and paint dripping on my head.....just an awful job.

I just snuck into the garage and put the charger on the ferrari.....I feel another attempt coming soon :)

We'll see...remember I'm not supposed to be playing wiht it while I have Lana work to do so it's hard to get a helper at all much less one that won't tell Mama. I'll try.

Yesterday I fixed the BWM (install one of the old coils), sealed the water strains from the pipe leak and drywalled and 1st coat of mud on the hole I cut to fit the pipe. By the weekend I should be about done wiht all this stuff........should.......

WOW, that does look like a suck job.. but now it's all nice and clean and pretty :D

BMW uses a shunt resistor to ground on the coil harness, check to see that it's still good and not toasted. Once they toast from the heat and use coils start to fail. It's not obvious where it is and most times it's buried in the plastic housing and heat shrunk or potted into place. It's on the ground path, it's not a traditional ground but a current feedback signal for the ECU.
